http://www.brooksyounce.com/ Duplicate file finder 3.4
Not bad. Bit odd, but works.

I use an app called PowerDesk6 and amongst its other handy features is
a file finder that can also be used as a standalone. They have both a
free and a pay version, the freebie being well endowed.
www.v-com.com/support/intro_PowerDesk.html
It's actually a Windows Explorer replacement with with a LOT more things
added onto it like the File Finder and single or dual panes a la the old
windows versions. It'll do Finds by path/name or folder or drive.
Faster than Windows search, too. Start with the freebie version; I
suspect you'll like it.

ACDSee it's a graphic viewer but does about anything you need done
including finding duplicate files (not just graphic extensions, all
files).

I still use 3.1 http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=acdsee

Many free ones out there. But remember, keep in mind that many apps want
to see the same file in their own folder.

I've been very happy with DoubleKiller, a freeware program with lots of
options, available at:

http://www.bigbangenterprises.de/en/doublekiller/

They also have a Pro version, which isn't free, but I haven't tried it.
As someone else mentioned, though, be careful what you ask for--you
might get it, or lose it in this case. You can remove dupes that are
needed. Perhaps the others also do this, but DoubleKiller does not
automatically delete files; it displays a list of dupes and you can
decide for yourself which ones to delete.

A real file manager like Total Commander will do that, as will
dozens of other more specific dupe finding programs. Google.

For image duplicates or near-duplicates (adjustable), the best I
have found is called Unique Filer. It is not new (there /is/ a
new Beta version to test) and looks a bit funky but it is miles
ahead in usability and effectiveness than anything else I've
tried. It ALSO does all other files, not just images.

http://www.uniquefiler.com/

BTW, you should be aware SOME files are in more than one place
for a very good reason.

Yeah , ive been using this nifty little program called <a href="http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-System-Optimizer/3000-2094_4-

to remove duplicate files on my PC.You can do that manually also but if you have huge no. of files then it can be cumbersome for some, it is for me. I am simply using Its Duplicate files remover. It allows me to add
folders & drives on which I want to remove duplicates & i can chose the desired extension of files.
Try & share the experience with me!!
