Oh, I need some big-time help on this one....

I have two shiny new Dell 2950 servers with Windows 2003 Server Standard R2
that I am setting up. They will be at different locations and I need to have
a common folder structure that is accessible to users in both sites. In
theory, Dfs is the solution.

I am using an AD-based namespace and am trying to create a number of
"top-level" folders under the root, with the sub-folders to be replicated.
While occasionally I will get folders to replicate, there is no common
thread; when I get one to replicate I'll set up another in the same way and
it will fail. Typically, I'll get the following message:

The DFS Replication service stopped replication on the replicated folder at
local path F:\PacificSport\FundsDevelopment\Public.

Additional Information:
Error: 87 (The parameter is incorrect.)
Additional context of the error: F:\PacificSport\FundsDevelopment\Public
Replicated Folder Name: Public
Replicated Folder ID: 7C1AF3B3-1AE1-469F-A3B6-9ABACA82FE78
Replication Group Name: FundsDevelopment-Public
Replication Group ID: 8C760F13-651C-45DE-8317-242AD6DED343
Member ID: AF27F3B9-06B8-4DC3-8A18-54A13D4CD4BC

Unfortunately, there is NO information on what this particular flavour of
Error 87 relates to. It logs as Event 4004 and there's no info on that
either. I'm EXTREMELY frustrated and would appreciate any help.

Thanks
