Hello,

I'm new to windows 2008 server. I'd like to clear 2008 events as it is
easier to track if there are events that are current however I can't figure
out how to clear the log.

Thanks

Hello boe,

Like all other event viewers, rightclick the log you will clear and choose
the option.

Best regards

Thanks - if you go to roles under server manager. It lists any events for
specific roles. E.G. Active Directory. It has events. Even if I clear
all the logs for apps, security etc - it still lists events under ad. I
can't find a place to clear my ad event log.

Hello boe,

If i clear my "Directory services" log under "Applications and services Logs",
also the entries under Active directory domain services are deleted. Maybe
you are not expanding all possible views?

Best regards
