hi,

I have a LAN with 18 W2k3 Servers, I want to set up 2 of this servers as NTPs, so the other computers Sync their time with these ones, none of the computers have access to internet, I already set both server so they can be used as NTPServers, but when I try to connect a host to sync, it shows the following error: "An error ocurred while While windows was synchronizing with (NTPserver ip address). The time sample was rejected because: The peer's stratum is less than the host's stratum.

An in the event log:

Event ID: 29

The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 30 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.

Event ID 38

The time provider NtpClient cannot reach or is currently receiving invalid time data from NTPServer (ntp.m|0x8|192.xxx.xxx.xx:123->192.xxx.xxx.xx:123).

Thanks in advance.

The w2k3 is reorting itself as a Stratum 16, thats why other clients wont sync their clocks, how do I fix this?
